Michael Craig-Martin: Transience
I remember seeing this exhibition being held in The Serpentine Galleries, Kensington Gardens, advertised on the local news of all places, and made a note to check it out at some point, which I forgot about… but then a friend mentioned he was going to see it, and then he didn’t get to go… so I thought that’s it, I’m going!
What I saw was a nice space of work by Michael Craig-Martin titled ‘Transience’ ~ ‘representations of once familiar yet obsolete technology’ and was a great setting to be wandering around all these lush colours as you can see in the pictures. In the other building of the Serpentine Galleries, the Sackler Gallery, was some work by Simon Denny titled ‘Products for Organising’ ~ ‘features new installations that revolve around contemporary radical management practices’, I didn’t quite enjoy this as much as ‘Transience’ but no doubt it is somebody else’s cup of tea for sure.
Both pieces of work are on display from25 Nov 2015 to 14 Feb 2016 and are free exhibitions ~ go check em’ out!
