Looking at the photos on this page and you may be wondering ‘what on earth is that??’ ‘a kite from the future?’ well… on a recent trip to the Science Museum in South Kensington I too had these thoughts after I walked into the brand new Winton Gallery section on level 2 and saw this magnificent structure hanging on the ceiling, designed by the late Dame Zaha Hadid’s the installation represents airflow around the Handley Page aircraft that’s suspended at its centre.

It’s also situated just after the ‘Information Age’ which is one of my all-time favourite exhibitions in the Science Museum, so no doubt I’ll be heading back up there to get a second viewing of the rest of the exhibits in this ‘mathematics’ exhibition.
