On my first visit to Rome a few years ago I was disappointed to discover that the Trevi Fountain was shut for a year from 2014 to 2015 due to repairs, this time around it was in full glory! and luckily due to the covid situation empty of tourists

During the time of this travel the covid pandemic was in effect so I took all the necessary precautions - one week after I came back Italy was on a lockdown again and requiring travellers to self-isolate

The Trevi Fountain viewed from the side at night - did you know an estimated €3,000 are thrown into the fountain daily? it's temporarily shut down three times a week to collect the coins from the floor - using your right hand to throw over your left shoulder, toss in one coin to ensure your return to Rome, two coins for your return and to meet new romance, and three coins for your return, love and marriage!

Arrived back home to England nice and safely if not a bit tired of all that walking around!
